| Mini break

The most enjoyable way of having a fitting at the 'Design Workshop' is to come for a few days to Cornwall and make a break of it!

The Birdhouse is a typical cornish fisherman's cottage. It has stunning views over Mounts Bay to the distant lizard peninsula.
What to do
Obviously the wonderful gardens of Trelowarren, Trelissick, Helegan and the Eden project.
The new maritime museum in Falmouth. Coastal walks around the lizard- mounts bay, the north cliffs and lands end.
Trewoofe Orchard
You are welcome to wander around or just sit and enjoy the peace and tranquility. The garden is open to raise funds for the R.N.L.I. We plan to open on fine days this year, please feel free to telephone 01736 810214 before travelling long distances to visit us.
We hope you enjoy the garden.
A subjective view
Denise and her friends have for many years enjoyed very special places in Cornwall and many of these revolve around wonderful settings and good food even in the most contrary weather.
Some of her favourite haunts include –
The Seafood Café - St Ives
Seafood Café

St Ives
Cornwall

A contemporary setting for great food for either a light lunch or a group gathering. Select your own prime fish or freshly stuffed chicken breasts and steaks and then select what sauce, salsa or crust you would like to accompany. Excellent prices.
The Porthminster Beach Café
Porthminster beach and restaurant
Porthminster
St Ives

A very sophisticated café frequently featured in Sunday supplements. Exemplary food in a fresh comfortable and contemporary setting. With amazing views across Porthminster’s pink sands to the aqua sea. An artists palette of rapidly changing colour come rain or shine.
The Blue Bar
Blue Bar
Beach Road
East Cliff
Porthtowan

One of my favourite haunts even on stormy days with or with out the family and my dog! Great food at a very reasonable price, try the beer battered calamari with chilli jam or the chargrilled chicken with mixed leaves and melon balls. Funky, fun, casual and relaxed: a surfer’s paradise on the beach, which is “cool” for young and old alike. Watch the sun set over the waves, walk to Chapel Porth beach in clear skies or sit out a stormy Sunday with all day breakfasts, bowls of cappuccino’s and read the paper. Alternatively, you could play pool, surf or just chill out.
Salsa
If you are here on the first Sunday of each month why not go down to Praa Sands near Helston and take a salsa lesson - listen to great music and round it off with tapas.
A recently revamped setting with log fires. Visuals include the pounding sea; great surfing and a safe beach for the kids.
